OUR ACTIVITIES ARE SUPERVISED AND CONTROLLED BY THE BANK OF LITHUANIA

The activities of the RATO bank are governed by the Republic of Lithuania Law on Banks,, resolutions of the Bank of Lithuania (www.lb.lt) and other legal acts regulating financial services.

• 30 May 1996 The Bank of Lithuania granted the Vilnius Regional Credit Union the right to engage in the activities established by the Law on Credit Unions. License No 10 issued by the Bank of Lithuania.
• 2017 Vilnius Regional Credit Union became the RATO Credit Union.
• 4th of December 2017 the RATO Credit Union received permission from the Bank of Lithuania to reorganise the union into a specialised bank.
• 2020 The application was submitted to the Bank of Lithuania for the granting of a specialised banking license.
• 2025 October 16th - Received the specialized banking license
• 2026 January 1st RATO Credit Union became RATO bank, UAB.
